Nap Time

Best nap is the nap after eating!!

Little Accident

Although we have already experienced both pee & poop accidients as a result of slow or unskillful diaper change, nothing is funnier than when Daddy gets a blasted with Annabelle's pent up gas and pooping skill.

It was past 1am when I already fell asleep while Daddy was handling the diaper change putting little Annabelle to sleep. All of a sudden, I heard Daddy screaming with a splashing sound. Dispite the surgical site pain, I jumped up and ran over worried that Annabelle has thrown up and got ill. Daddy immediately warned me to watch my step, then I realize that there's no milk spit on the floor. It's all dark liquid. Since I'm up to attend to Annabelle, Daddy rushed to the washroom right away.

Appearantely Daddy had been trying to clean up the little bum from a dirty diaper. He got a little too concentrated and went too close to make sure Annabelle is all nice and clean while the second set of poop shot out. Daddy screamed in surprised and Annabelle got her first hole in one. Actually it was more like a shotgun approach because Daddy's shirt was all covered and more was splashed over the floor. It took both of us a while to finally get Annabelle and the room all cleaned up. At the end, let's just say that I'm very glad Annabelle is still well and this is just another pooping accident. Daddy definitely has learned his important lesson to hum rather than talk open mouthed during diaper change!!

Surprise Pee pee on 8 - 8 Day

As I pick up Annabelle just after the diaper change, I noticed that her back was usually damp. A bit too damp for it to be sweat. A quick sniff and a frown later, I concluded that Mommy’s diaper change skill still needed improvement in the area of swiftness. Mommy fell over laughing at what had happened but all too quickly was hurting from laughter. We had found out that humor can be quite painful because of the c-section. But never the less, it started (as always) a cycle of laughter because of the pain.
Annabelle was striped and wrapped up for a quick back wash in the bathroom. That’s when the second surprise came out. As soon as, the tap gets turned on, Annabelle lets loose and begins to pee! More laughter and more aches for Mommy.
Finally, Annabelle is cleaned and Grandma runs over with a new towel to wrap up little Annabelle.

What a night!
